Springbank 36 Years Old Prime Malt Selection No. 3 1967 is aged for 36 years and was bottled in the early 2000s by Duncan Taylor for the American market. The Springbank distillery was founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, who had been living in the region since the 17th century. It is one of the three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown, which was once one of the most prolific whisky distilling areas of Scotland. Descendants of the Mitchell family still own the distillery today, making Springbank the oldest family-owned distillery in Scotland.
